Selection of land
Chana can be grown in heavy mira, light mira soil and sandy soil where sandy soil is more suitable.
Land preparation
Because gram is a rainfed crop, therefore, before cultivation, the land is prepared by plowing it well in clay soil.  Bar Soha should be plowed with wheat and left for two to three days so that the witr can form its layer
Seed selection
Seed selection is an essential process before planting
1- Only approved varieties of good quality seeds should be cultivated
2- The seeds should be treated with fungicide
